OVERSECTOR III OUTER - THE DRAGON ISLES

The Dragon Isles Sector lies on the galactic fringe, veiled in dense nebulae, storm-wracked hyperspace routes, and concealed navigation signatures - a deliberate act of secrecy by the Old Republic once they discovered its exsistence around 500 BBY. Officially uncharted, this sector was quietly logged in restricted Republic archives under diplomatic quarantine due to its volatile native powers and deep-rooted arcane force traditions.

The sector is composed of five core systems, each dominated by a sentient dragon-clan society known as a Weyrn. Each Weyrn is planetary in scope, functioning as a quasi-political, military, and spiritual entity governed by ancient draconic traditions passed down through millenia.

Sector Overview

Ancient History and the First Fall

The Weyrns trace their origin to a time lost to even the Jedi Archives. Formed by powerful dragon-kin who wielded the Force in highly specialised and ritualistic forms - through fire, healing, prophecy and arcane manipulation - the Weyrns were once united in a mystical alliance across the stars.

However, unity gave way to ambition.

Around 600-500 ABY, tensions among the Weyrns escalated into a sector wide mass civil war. The cataclysm that followed - referred to in ancient Nardorian texts as the Sundering of Scale & Sky - obliterated entire civilizations. Arcane weapons of mass destruction were unleashed, and in the end only a handful of Weyrn leaders, known as ScaleCommanders, survived. In desperation, they ordered their kin into deep stasis chambers across their worlds, leaving the sector barren and silent for a millenia.

Reawakening and Hidden Republic Intervention

Around 100 BBY, unexplained energy surges and arcane reactivations marked the Reawakening. The dormant Weyrns began to stir. Crystalline data-cores relit, temple cities pulsed with life, and ancient AI systems called out into hyperspace.

By 47 BBY, Jedi scouts and Republic Intelligence had quietly mobilized to monitor the situation. Fearing the resurgence of a power they barely understood, the Republic authorized Cover Operation Emberlight - the clandestine operation involving the extraction of selected Force-sensitive Nardorian younglings (known as Whelplings) to Coruscant for preservation and study. Among the 107 chosen was Cisco, the last living heir of the Dark Talons of Nardoria.

After the first 107 were extracted, no further expeditions were approved. The sector was resealed, monitored and manipulated from afar.

Notable Figures

• CISCO (b. 45 BBY) - Raised within the Republic and later the early Empire, Cisco was trained in both standard Military doctrine as well as secret Weyrn traditions. He would later defect in 18 BBY, during a major raid on an Imperial ground station.

• VOX (b. 40 BBY) - Originally taken to Coruscant by Chancellor Palpatine himself, Vox rose through the ranks of the Republic Navy and later the Empire, serving with distinction and political cunning. Eventually stationed in the Dragon Isles Sector, she became an unwitting catalyst in the rekindling of the Weyrns power.

Role: Custodians of the arcane, wielding Force techniques to protect knowledge and relics

SARKARETH - EBON SCALES
Specialisations: Frontline Infantry, Recon and Blitz Tactics
Dragonflight: Blue
Role: Serving as the backbone of the Weyrn Military Forces. Force-enchanted infantry, scouts, pilots and support units.

VIRIDIA - HEALING WINGS

Role: Healers, both passive and spiritual. Mantainers of the Forbidden Reach, a sanctuary off limits to even other Weyrns
